PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 33-year-old man was arrested after authorities said he drove a stolen vehicle and crashed into several cars during rush hour on Monday.
At around 5 p.m., transit police patrolling near the Delta Park/Vanport MAX Station said they found a stolen van, and when officers attempted to stop it, the driver took off.

Officials said that traffic at the time was extremely heavy, and the driver, later identified as Ryan Anthony Salt, drove on the shoulder of the road and into oncoming traffic while police followed at a distance.
