Hundreds gather at Erie City Mission for free Thanksgiving meal

A local organization made sure everyone had access to a Thanksgiving meal this week, hosting a free holiday feast this afternoon.

The Erie City Mission opened its doors to the Erie community for its 3rd annual Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday.

Brighten the Night — UPMC Hamot gives back to its patients

More than 75 volunteers served a traditional Thanksgiving meal to around 300 guests in the mission’s dining hall.

The organization’s head chef said that many who walk through their doors carry quiet burdens, and they want to spread love and compassion with every plate served.
