Before returning to A&T, Trapp was director of Community Partnerships and Engagement for Durham County Government, where she spearheaded cross-sector collaborations and led civic engagement initiatives. Her public service career also includes positions as chief of staff for Durham County Government, chief of staff at Edward Waters University, and director of HBCU Outreach for the N.C. Department of Transportation.
Trapp’s earlier experience spans leadership in emergency management and student affairs at Shaw University and three years as associate chief of staff at UNC Greensboro, prior to her first tenure at A&T.
