ORLANDO, Fla. – A federal judge has ordered a Venezuelan national, who lived in Kissimmee, to spend nearly three years behind bars for orchestrating a complex bank fraud operation that relied on counterfeit passports and shell companies.
U.S. District Judge Carlos Mendoza sentenced Nerio Alberto Ortega Delgado, 45, to 33 months in federal prison this week. The sentencing follows Ortega Delgado’s guilty plea to charges of bank fraud and passport fraud on September 4, 2025.
