A Simi Valley man has been charged with attempted murder in a domestic violence case that left his girlfriend with multiple visible injuries, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Cesar Manuel Zavala, 39, faces several charges in connection with the Nov. 23 incident, including special allegations related to the use of a deadly weapon and the infliction of great violence. Prosecutors said the charges stem from a violent assault following a verbal altercation.
