Families, staff left in limbo after unexpected closure of St. Petersburg preschool

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg preschool closed abruptly this week, leaving more than a dozen staff members jobless and dozens of families scrambling to find childcare just days before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Dorothy Mull, former owner of The Learning Adventures Preschool, said she finalized the sale of the center to new ownership on Friday.

Mull said she does not know what happened afterward.

“I don’t know, I don’t know. I wish I could tell you. I have no idea what happened,” Mull said. “My heart is breaking for them. I mean, I feel horrible that they’re going through this.”…
