LAKE WACCAMAW, N.C. (WECT) – The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons (NCCMP) has issued a silver alert for 85-year-old Betty Ward Stanley.
Stanley left her Lake Waccamaw residence on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and was last seen at 8:27 p.m. when she was stopped by police on Highway 74, heading west, in Leland.
According to NCCMP, Stanley told an officer she was heading back to her home and has not returned since.
Stanley, who is believed to have either dementia or Alzheimer’s, is described as a white woman, 5′6″, weighing 180 pounds, with short, light blonde hair and brown eyes. She uses a walker with a seat…
