4 women targeted in 2 armed robberies minutes apart overnight in Lakeview, according to Chicago police

CHICAGO — Four women were targeted in two armed robberies just minutes apart overnight on the city’s North Side, according to Chicago police.

Police say both robberies happened just after midnight Tuesday in Lakeview, though they did not say if they were connected.

The first incident, police say, happened around 12:15 a.m. Three women, a 20-year-old and two 21-year-olds, told police they were walking in the 600 block of West Stratford when a black sedan approached and two unknown men got out with guns and robbed them.

The offenders then go back in the sedan and fled on Belmont, according to police. No injuries were reported…
