Inspections reveal more than 700 Jackson fire hydrants missing, moved, or never existed

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Inspections are revealing more details about the number and conditions of fire hydrants in the capital city, including more than 700 that are missing or never existed.

At a hearing earlier this month, Interim Third-Party Manager Ted Henifin said JXN Water was attempting to map out and inspect all of the fire hydrants in the city.
