Beloved Northern Colorado Brewery Closing After 15 Years

There have been more than two dozen breweries that have closed in Colorado in 2025, and it appears that more closures could be in the near future. Even more breweries in the state have shuttered in the past few years for one reason or another.

Why So Many Colorado Breweries Are Closing

Many factors surrounding the closures of craft breweries in Colorado include increased labor, real estate, and product costs. Couple that with the nationwide decline in craft beer sales, and many breweries are faced with the tough decision of moving forward or closing up shop.

Another Northern Colorado brewery has announced that it will be closing at the end of November. According to the Colorado Beer Geek Facebook page, a Loveland brewery that has been operating for the past 15 years will close for good on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

A Goodbye Message From the Brewery

Loveland’s Big Beaver Brewing Co. announced on its mailing list recently the closure of the craft brewery.

It’s with a heavy heart we are making this announcement. We will be closing our doors permanently on the 30th. We thank everyone for the past 15 years of good times, bad jokes, and great beer. We had a good run, but it’s time to move on to something new. We will see you on the other side of the bar…
