On November 25, 2025, the Augusta Commission in Georgia approved an intergovernmental agreement to expand Augusta Animal Services into the City of Hephzibah. The agreement allows Augusta Animal Services to handle animal-related complaints, manage stray animals, and provide animal control within Hephzibah’s city limits.
