COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Columbus shoppers can expect a two-day shopping push this holiday weekend with national Black Friday doorbusters on Friday, Nov. 28, and local Small Business Saturday events in downtown Uptown Columbus on Nov. 29.
National stores are rolling out deals online and in stores, while Uptown merchants and Highside Market are preparing vendor pop-ups and in-store promotions for shoppers seeking specialty gifts.
Black Friday deals at major retailers
Major national retailers are advertising discounts on electronics, appliances, toys, and home goods.
- Target’s Black Friday hub lists deals across electronics and toys, including 4K smart TVs, Apple devices and AirPods, gaming bundles and small kitchen appliances. Ad previews showed a Meta Quest 3S (128GB) for about $249.
- Best Buy’s Black Friday listings include markdowns on 55- to 75-inch 4K sets, laptop and tablet sales, console bundles and audio gear. Ad scans included a TCL 55-inch 4K TV for about $169.99.
- Walmart’s multi-day event covers TVs, consoles, toys, small kitchen appliances and household items. Listings showed a DeLonghi espresso machine for roughly $151.
- Macy’s shoppers can expect reductions on apparel, bedding and cookware. Black Friday listings showed KitchenAid stand mixers and UGG throws among featured deals.
- Kohl’s emphasizes family clothing doorbusters, buy-one-get-one offers and Kohl’s Cash incentives for later visits.
Local Columbus shopping locations
Peachtree Mall at 3131 Manchester Expressway will be open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Black Friday. Individual anchor stores including Macy’s, Dillard’s and JCPenney may open earlier or later.
