Trinity Man Faces Multiple Felony Charges After Vehicle Break-In and Construction Site Theft

On October 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle break-in and theft on Cashatt Road in Trinity, North Carolina. After investigating, deputies identified 22-year-old Christopher Lee Roberts as a suspect. The Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit arrested Roberts on October 29, 2025. At the time, he was also wanted for other charges.

On November 5, 2025, Roberts was charged with felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, theft, and felony possession of stolen goods. He was held without bond under the Pre-Trial Integrity Act. Investigators also linked Roberts to a larceny at a construction site on Thayer Road in Trinity. This led to more felony charges.
