VIDEO: Jacksonville officer rescues drowning man in St. Johns River

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — A Jacksonville police officer saved a drowning man in the St. Johns River on Nov. 23, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said it received a call around midnight about a drowning man in distress being pulled downstream by the current.

An officer attempted to throw a rescue line, but the man was not able to grab ahold of it…
