Memphis Community on Alert After Burglars Make Off with $9k in Valuables from Country Club Lane

A recent burglary attempt in the affluent area of Country Club Lane has left residents on edge. The Memphis Police Department reported that on November 24, officers were dispatched in response to a burglar alarm at 2:00 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered signs of attempted entry with pry marks on a window. While the suspect failed to gain access to one residence, a nearby unit was not as fortunate.

According to the official Memphis Police Department report, an inventory check revealed that the burglar successfully absconded with jewelry and purses worth over $9,000 from the second unit. Surveillance footage from the area captured two suspects jumping a fence and breaking in through a window, initiating their illicit act. The perpetrators currently remain at large, leaving a community grappling with safety concerns.

Descriptions of the suspects have been released in an effort to solicit the public’s assistance. Suspect #1 is described as a Black male wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans, gloves, and sneakers. Suspect #2 matches a similar description: a Black male donning a dark jacket, blue jeans, gloves, and sneakers.
