Horry County leaders to consider pulling Webster’s name from $24 million emergency operations center, documents show

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Horry County leaders are considering taking retired administrator Randy Webster’s name off of its $24 million emergency operations center amid his involvement in a sexual harassment lawsuit, according to documents made public Wednesday.

“Horry County Council is authorized to adopt resolutions that express the will of Council concerning a particular matter but which do not carry the force of law … Horry County Council resolved to recognize the former Randall S. Webster Emergency Operations and Communications Center as the Horry County Emergency Operations and Communications Center,” a agenda item on next week’s county infrastructure and regulation committee says.
