UCF students, volunteers pack 150 first-aid kits for Orlando community

UCF students positioned themselves around the materials they wanted to sort into the first-aid kits in Trevor Colbourn Hall on Friday evening.

The desks were arranged in assembly line stations, each holding different items such as gauze pads, bandages, antiseptic wipes, ointment and naloxone — Narcan — donated by the Florida Department of Health.

For an hour and a half, volunteers passed around and filled red first-aid kit pouches with essential items that could help both UCF students in a pinch or support people experiencing homelessness in Orlando…
