PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — A Pawtucket mother of four says she’s starting over with nothing after a kitchen fire tore through her second-floor apartment Monday morning, destroying everything just days before the holidays.
Firefighters were called to the multi-family home off Harrison Street just after 9:30 a.m. Crews said they had difficulty positioning a ladder truck and had to use ground ladders to ventilate the roof. All residents made it out safely, and firefighters rescued a dog from the unit.
Pawtucket Fire Chief Trenteseaux confirmed to NBC10 the cause was ruled accidental, adding that water and smoke damage extended to all three floors of the building. No injuries were reported, and the American Red Cross is assisting two displaced families: four adults and six children…
