Sudden Lane Change Proves Fatal For St. Petersburg E-Bike Rider

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A man has died days after a late-night collision involving his electric bicycle and a passing sedan, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

The crash occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday, November 23. Investigators say 55-year-old Shapon Sarder was traveling south on 49th Street North in the curb lane, approaching 39th Avenue North, on a Gotrax e-bike.
