The Massachusetts State Police is mourning the loss of Jay, the Percheron horse, who was a member of its mounted unit.
The 12½-year-old horse died from cancer complications on Nov. 19, the State Police Department wrote on Facebook.
“Jay was always a main attraction wherever he went,” the post reads. “His noble stature drew adults and kids to his side. He loved the attention and knew the happiness he brought to others.”…
