Dubuque, IA – Scattered snow showers are moving across eastern Iowa this morning, creating brief periods of reduced visibility and slick travel, according to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities.

The system is mainly affecting areas north of Highway 30, including Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, and Dubuque, and will continue through early Wednesday morning. Forecasters say strong west winds combined with bursts of snow could reduce visibility to under a mile at times
