Five nonprofits in Linn County, Iowa, will receive a total of $50,000 in grants from the county’s Legacy & Community Attraction Fund. The Board of Supervisors announced the awards this week. Recipients include the City of Center Point for Wakema Park, CSPS for its capital campaign, The History Center for public programming, Linn County Fair Association, and the National Czech & Slovak Museum for an exhibit renovation.
The grant program supports organizations that promote Linn County’s history and culture or attract residents and visitors. This year, requests totaled more than $220,000.
