JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – As families across Mississippi gather on Thanksgiving, the Mississippi Department of Archives (MDAH) shared a holiday story from the state’s past.
Just before Thanksgiving, MDAH displayed a holiday artifact. It’s a full Thanksgiving menu from one of Mississippi’s World War II prisoner of war camps. The menu offers a rare window into what life looked like inside camps, like Clinton and Camp McCain.
