Thanksgiving grocery costs drop 5% from last year

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Shoppers preparing for Thanksgiving will find their grocery bills slightly lighter this year, according to new data from the American Farm Bureau Federation.

The cost of traditional Thanksgiving staples has dropped 5% compared to 2024, the organization reported. The decrease comes as a relief to many consumers who had braced for higher prices.
