‘Disappointed is an understatement’: Suburban food pantry’s truck hit by catalytic converter thieves again

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — Just months after getting their trucks back following catalytic converter thefts in June, a suburban nonprofit that provides food to hundreds every week was left stranded again after one of their box trucks was hit by thieves.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for the nonprofit “4 KIDS Sake” said in a social media post that the organization’s box truck was hit again by catalytic converter thieves overnight.

The organization did not provide specific details on when the theft occurred, but a spokesperson said they woke up to find the damaged truck…
