The holiday season has arrived, and this year, gifts are dropping from the sky — not from Santa’s sleigh, but via Amazon drones.
Months after receiving City Council’s green light, Amazon has officially launched its Prime Air delivery service in San Antonio. Residents can now have eligible items flown directly to their homes within an hour of placing an order.
Described by Amazon as “an ultra-fast service that safely delivers items up to five pounds,” drone delivery is only available during daylight hours. Deliveries are paused at night and during strong winds or poor weather conditions…
