Dog who waited 1,000+ days in Summit County shelter finally finds ‘fur-ever’ home!

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Clifton, the Humane Society of Summit County’s longest resident who spent over 1,000 days waiting to be adopted, has finally found his “fur-ever” home!

This 4-year-old boy came in as a stray transfer from a local animal hospital in Jan. 2023… which means he spent most of his life in the Akron shelter.

HSSC said he may have been hit by a car before coming into their care, but Clifton didn’t let a “ruff” start slow him down…
