On the night of November 25, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Thriftwood Dr. in Charlotte, North Carolina. When officers arrived, they found a victim with gunshot wounds. MEDIC pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The CMPD Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Search, and other teams began investigating and collecting evidence. The case is still active. Detective Smereka is leading the investigation. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit or provide anonymous tips through Charlotte Crime Stoppers.
