EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — What was supposed to be the Innovation Center of Science and Health now lies vacant.
The Evansville Vanderburgh School Board has decided to not move forward with plans to develop the former Welborn Clinic site on Chestnut. The building for the Innovation Center of Science and Health’s purpose was to expand learning opportunities for high school students in the healthcare field.
Officials broke ground in March with the hopes of completing construction by 2027. Dr. Darla Hoover said the center would open new doors for students. Now things have been re-evaluated…
