(KRON) — San Jose police said a firearm was recovered after an armed, barricaded suspect in a family disturbance was taken into custody Thursday afternoon.

Police said they responded to the incident just after 9:45 a.m. at a home on the 1400 block of Mt. Whitney Drive.
“The suspect who is a family member was not supposed to be at the residence and was armed with a firearm,” said police.
An elderly man and a relative of the suspect were inside the home at the time until they were able to leave thanks to police.
“After getting the occupants out, the suspect barricaded but was eventually talked out of the residence by special operations and taken into custody without incident,” said police…
