Volunteers serve free Thanksgiving meals to Kalamazoo’s homeless and recovering residents

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — In downtown Kalamazoo, a pre-Thanksgiving meal was served to the homeless, and to those in drug and alcohol recovery.

The meal was served free of charge at MLK Park.

News Channel 3 caught up with a Paw Paw native now living in Kalamazoo.

She helped set up the food, and says giving to the less fortunate is special to her, especially after it was a single helping hand that helped her get sober and off the streets 25 years ago…
