Louisville has one of the best dive bars in America, per USA TODAY list

A beloved watering hole in Louisville has been recognized as one of the best dive bars in all of America by USA TODAY.

Seidenfaden’s, 1135 E. Breckinridge St., landed on the national list, which honors “dim lights, cheap drinks and a fiercely protected sense of place that can feel like stepping back in time.”

Regarded as the oldest bar in Louisville that’s operated under the same name, Seidenfaden’s has gone through a few phases since it opened 1921. Once regarded as an “old man bar” that opened at 6 a.m. as a place to drink coffee, scratch lottery tickets and smoke cigarettes, the establishment’s modern era includes live music, karaoke, movie nights and late-night hangs…
