MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – It’s all hands on deck for the Waterfront Rescue Mission to pull off their annual Thanksgiving lunch. With temperatures dropping just in time for the holiday. The mission says they prepared for extra people.
“Normally we have on average anywhere from 190 to 200 guests with volunteers but we’re probably expecting around the 250 range today,” said Eric Lindmark, Director of Development.
The mission spent the last several days preparing 120 turkeys and 40 gallons of gravy between the missions in Mobile and Pensacola. They also had well over 100 volunteers on hand to help prep and serve the food…
