HCPD officers respond to a man threatening arson in Conway

The Horry County Police Department responded to a man threatening a woman’s belongings with diesel fuel in the Conway area on Monday, Nov. 24.

The police report says that around 11:30 p.m. an HCPD officer responded to a report of people fighting on Franks Lane. Upon the officer’s arrival, the victim stated the suspect was “heavily intoxicated, started a fire and threw diesel fuel on her,” the report states.

A witness told the officer the suspect left in a white GMC Tahoe and the victim said the suspect was going to an address on Cox Ferry Circle to burn her belongings, according to the report…
