PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — This Thanksgiving, Waterfront Mission in Pensacola celebrated the holiday like they do every year, with the annual Thanksgiving lunch.

Executive Director Mark Isbell said this year marks the mission’s 76th annual Thanksgiving lunch, having served around 1,700 meals to unhoused individuals in the Pensacola area.
“Everybody thinks of Thanksgiving as a family gathering, it’s tradition, all of that is wrapped up so there’s a lot of emotion in that for those that don’t have a home or don’t have a family close by,” said Isbell. “So that’s why we opened up the Mission to say, ‘Hey, if you’re hungry, if you’re alone, come and we’ll be your family for Thanksgiving.’”
All the Thanksgiving classics were on the menu, serving up turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and a slice of pie.
