The issue of littering has recently sparked concern among residents of Roanoke, despite many of them not residing within the county or city. The sight of litter scattered along the roadsides and medians has been described as disheartening and out of control. In an effort to combat this issue, a proposal has been made to gather once a month in various parts of the city to pick up litter.
