Toledo Humane Society set to open new facility focused on specialized care

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Toledo Humane Society is expanding its pawprint. The rescue organization takes in several thousand animals every year. And a new pet project of the shelter is designed to help make that work a little easier.

The organization now has two facilities. The newest building is on Briarfield in Maumee. It is the former Total Pet Care building. The focus at the new building will be on specialized care for the dogs who often need the most help.
