Faith City Mission serves Thanksgiving meal and outreach to hundreds in need

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Faith City Mission hosted its annual Thanksgiving meal and outreach, serving more than 500 pounds of food and distributing hundreds of gloves, beanies, jackets, blankets, and hygiene items to those in need.

Heidi Keathley, director of development at Faith City Mission, described the event as “beautiful,” noting the involvement of about 60 volunteers preparing food and serving pastries, hot chocolate, and coffee.

The mission, which provided 90,000 meals and 30,000 nights of safe sleep over the past year, sees an increase in demand during the holiday season…
