APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) – Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford is responding to complaints from drivers about increased traffic stops for loud exhaust systems.
The increased stops were a response to community concerns about excessive vehicle noise.
Most stops are made by officers who suspect a car has an illegal exhaust system. State law doesn’t allow a city to fine drivers based on noise alone…
