LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — The Loves Park Fire Department was on high alert this Thanksgiving, prepared to respond to emergencies despite the holiday.
Lieutenant Jarvis Dixon, who has worked multiple Thanksgivings, emphasized the importance of being on duty as the world doesn’t stop for holidays. Kitchen fires and carbon monoxide issues are common during Thanksgiving, posing significant risks to families.
