In a ruling that has rippled through the community, Armando Flores, the former teacher at Holy Cross accused of invasive visual recording, has been granted permission for supervised contact with minors, according to FOX San Antonio. Flores was initially prohibited from contact with individuals under 17, but a recent bond modification now allows him limited interaction, provided another adult is present.
Flores, arrested after allegedly using a camera disguised as an alarm clock to record a student and a teacher undressing, had his attorney argue that the initial bond restrictions were “too global and too general,” a complication especially as they affected his ability to be with his 4-year-old daughter, despite the serious nature of the allegations which prosecutors are seeking to further embolden with additional charges, according to Express News.
Further scrutiny into Flores’ actions revealed a series of explicit interactions, extending to sexual misconduct with staff and inappropriate texts to students, one of which read, “Are you touching yourself,” tying Flores to the technology used to invade privacy and splintering the sanctity of personal spaces within educational boundaries according to police affidavits obtained by Express News…
