ST. LOUIS – First responders step into the ring tonight as the 38th annual Budweiser Guns ’N Hoses boxing event returns to Enterprise Center. The charity match-up draws thousands each year and raises money for families of fallen police officers, firefighters, and EMS workers.
The annual event has become one of the region’s biggest pre-Thanksgiving traditions. Dozens of fighters and police officers train for months leading up to the matchups, many stepping into the ring for the first time.
Proceeds benefit The BackStoppers, the nonprofit that provides financial help to families of first responders who die or are seriously injured in the line of duty.
