WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — While many families sit down for a hot Thanksgiving meal, many in the community have to seek out the help of the Lord’s Diner.
Since it first opened in 2002, the non-profit has provided daily meals to Wichita’s unhoused and those experiencing poverty who may be unable to afford daily meals. Each year, The Lord’s Diner has always served up Thanksgiving meals to those in need.

Beth Barron, Homeless Outreach Coordinator at The Lord’s Diner, tells KSN that she doesn’t consider being there on Thanksgiving as giving up her time.
“Being here is where I want to be. So it’s not a sacrifice to work on Thanksgiving,” said Barron. “The guests continually thank us for not forgetting about them on the holidays. So a lot of appreciation and Happy Thanksgiving wishes.”…
