The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking at alternative methods to give residents emergency alerts following a nationwide CodeRED outage.
CodeRED by Crisis 24 is an online service that is used by public safety agencies to send emergency notifications to the public, such as shelters in place, winter weather warnings and fire evacuations.
