ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Lindy’s Diner in downtown Albuquerque has served free Thanksgiving meals to the community for ten years now. They say they do it to help out the people they see every day. Whether that’s their regulars, or unhoused people on the street in-need.
Steve and Dawn Vatoseow started making and giving away free Thanksgiving meals in 2015 as a way to honor a loved one who passed.
“It started as a memorial to my mom, she was a big part of this place,” Steve said. “She passed in early 2015 so we thought this would be nice way to remember her. Every year it got bigger and bigger and here we are 10 years later.”…
