The Bellevue Police Department is reaching out to the community in an effort to find 54-year-old Denise Silva, who was reported missing earlier this week. Silva was last seen on Tuesday near a dental office at the corner of Bellevue Way and Main Street, according to the Bellevue Beat Blog.
Authorities became involved after Silva’s parents contacted them, expressing concern for their daughter’s well-being. Denise Silva has a pre-existing brain injury, which has been known to cause confusion and disorientation. The police are especially worried given that she was not dressed for the cold weather, having left the premises wearing only a light grey fleece, black pants, and black sneakers. The Bellevue police have emphasized the urgency of the situation due to the fact that she had left on foot, was unfamiliar with the area, and the dropping night temperatures.
