Three people arrested after drugs found in child’s bedroom in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — Three people were arrested in Owensboro after authorities discovered an illegal psilocybin mushroom operation inside a residence on Saint Ann Street, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies, accompanied by Kentucky Probation and Parole officers, were visiting the home when they reportedly observed illegal controlled substances in plain view. After securing a search warrant, investigators searched the rest of the house and said they found an active psilocybin mushroom grow operation in the basement.

Items seized included spores, seeds, grown psilocybin mushrooms, gummy packaging, and other materials used to process, package, and distribute illegal mushrooms. Deputies also reported finding five boxes of finished psilocybin mushrooms in a child’s bedroom…
