72-Year-Old Winter Haven Man Dies in Thanksgiving Day Car Crash in South Lake County

A 72-year-old Winter Haven man’s life came to a tragic end on Thanksgiving Day following a car crash in South Lake County, per reports from the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident unfolded shortly before 5:30 p.m. when the man, driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, veered off the road and struck an electrical box before landing in a ditch off U.S. Highway 27, south of Ruby Red Boulevard.
