Police Respond to 381 Calls in 24 Hours: Armed Robbery, Welfare Checks, and Arrests Across City Districts

Between 6:00 a.m. on November 26 and 6:00 a.m. on November 27, 2025, local police responded to 381 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or accidental 911 calls. Calls were distributed across city districts. The East district had 78 calls, Midtown had 65, Central had 62, West had 63, North had 57, South had 51, and 5 calls were listed as ‘Other.’ The ‘Other’ category includes calls outside city sectors or those involving assistance to other law enforcement agencies.

During this 24-hour period, officers handled only priority calls at certain times due to staffing and call volume. On November 26, from 7:41 p.m. to 8:16 p.m., and again starting at 3:14 a.m. on November 27, only priority incidents were addressed.

Several incidents were reported during this timeframe. In the East district at 9:29 a.m., a caller reported an unknown person with a gun at their door. Officers found no immediate threat. The caller’s mother expressed concern for her adult child’s mental health. At 12:12 p.m. in the Central district, an armed robbery was reported on State Street.
