Thanksgiving shooting in Northeast DC leaves man hospitalized

WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C. police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot in the Northeast area on Thanksgiving night.

The Metropolitan Police Department said on Nov. 27, Fifth District officers were called to the 300 block of Evarts Street, NE, around 10:10 p.m. after reports of a shooting.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS paramedics took the man to a nearby hospital, and authorities said he is expected to survive…
